Smoothing out the dendrites after many colorings?

Summary

scottalap> Does the Seung lab smooth out the dendrites after many EWs of high accuracy have colored in the cube?  example below

<r> says  honestly I don’t see much difference. The colors are arbitrary, depending on which view you are using, whether or not it is in explore mode, etc. To me, “smoothing” implies
